Discovering Wallonia's innovations

Background

Today, many construction companies have IT solutions for managing vehicles, man and machine hours, projects and invoicing, but they still work with paper booklets for managing small equipment and scheduling maintenance and inspections.
There is a need to digitize this management and therefore an IT tool for tracking small equipment!

Our small equipment tracking solution provides construction companies with a response to 3 main needs: prevention of tool theft or neglect, inventory management, and prevention of safety and well-being through periodic inspection and maintenance management.
Bonus: control of worksite costs.

The solution integrates all the BLE tags on the market, so no one has to change their existing Hilti-style equipment, but we're adding a top layer with our own tag (BLE + Sigfox) which can provide a complete solution for small equipment and more expensive tools that also need to be secured with an intuitive platform and native mobile applications.

The solution requires no clocking in or out or other human handling, and registrations are made automatically on the basis of the detection of tooling within its perimeter and the intelligence of the software which interprets the information.

Innovation

Companies operating in the construction sector have already invested in software for invoicing, project follow-up, personnel and vehicle tracking, and are now looking for tools to keep track of their equipment.
Manufacturers have understood this and are investing heavily in management tools to be able to sell more of their products with advanced services.
And there is also a concern about losses to which manufacturers are not responding.
In Belgium, more than 51 million euros (value of stolen tools) are stolen from construction sites (figure from the Confédération de la Construction).
We're answering the call with our HeronTrack solution, a business solution that goes further than the tool itself, using innovative IoT technologies to provide cost management, inspection (periodic control) and compliance with Belgian legislation."
